First Visit
What can one expect from the first
visit? During the first visit both the practitioner and client develop
a mutually agreed upon complementary health program to meet the
client's individual health challenges. The main part of the session
includes: massage therapy, wellness counseling, exercise or a
combination that integrates all our services. The first visit lasts for
one to two hours.
In the session
we address Pain Management and underlying factors for Acute Pain which
is readily identifiable by tissue inflammation, but there may also be
underlying damage to nerves and muscles. The pain region may also
experience heightened muscle reflex activity. The whole body may
respond to the pain with increased heart rate, heightened blood
pressure, increased nerve receptor activity and other increases in
nervous system activity.
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy generally involves
structural integration. The emphasis is on the physical anatomy to
elongate and shorten muscles so clients become structurally correct.
This incorporates many holistic massage techniques including, deep
tissue, Shiatsu, Swedish, cranial sacral and acupressure.
Massage therapy addresses non medical
acute pain management (Lower Back Pain, Migraine Headaches Pain,
Cluster Headaches Pain, Osteo Arthritis Pain, Rheumatoid Arthritis
Pain, Muscular Dystrophy Pain, Neck and Shoulder Pain and Feet Pain)
