Shapiro brings more than 12 years of experience in health to his complementary health care practice in Del Mar, California. He founded Active Nutrients, a nutritional supplement company in 1994. Active Nutrients emphasis is on the highest quality accredited research products. The testimonials received from Active Nutrients customers acted as an incentive and gave larger meaning to continue his education and go into private practice in the field of complementary health. To advance education in the complementary health sector of the health care industry, Louis enrolled in the School of Healing Arts in San Diego, California. He is a 1986 graduate of UC Santa Barabara University and received a B.A. in mathematics and economics.
